About Us

Highfield Fisheries first opened its doors to the public in July of 2003 and is set in rural Lancashire between Lancaster and Blackpool. At that time it consisted of 2 match/pleasure lakes and a specimen carp lake. The fishery operated in the same vain until the later part of 2006. It was then, reluctantly, decided to convert the specimen lake (Oak) into a match lake.

Considerable planning went into the conversion and work commenced in the September of 2006. The lake has now been converted into a 42 peg match lake. Visit our link to the lake to view its description.

The fishery is managed by George Wilson who has had more than 20 years experience in the course/carp fishing industry and is always on hand when advice is required. He is fanatical about his job and the results of this is show when the fishery is visited. "Not just another fishery" means exactly that. We want all our visitors to come back and we provide an experience to ensure that they do so.

Some may find our rules a little on the harsh side but our ultimate aim is the conservation of the fishery and the maintenance of a healthy fish stock.
